ICF is dedicated to advancing the coaching profession by setting high ethical standards, providing independent certification, and building a worldwide network of credentialed coaches across a variety of coaching disciplines. ICF defines Coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.

In 2020, the International Coaching Federation (ICF) celebrates 25 years as the global organization for coaches and Coaching.

ACTP (Accredited Coach Training Program) from the International Coach Academy. With a minimum of 125 student contact hours, ICA certified and advanced programs include core curriculum, Mentor Coaching, Observed Coaching, Niche Development labs, and peer coaching. Students who graduate from an ACTP can apply via the ACTP track for ACC or PCC credentials.

I am currently in the process of getting a PCC credential.

Requirements for holding a PCC certification:
Completion of an entire ICF Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP) with a minimum of 125 hours of training. A minimum of 500 hours (440 paid*) of coaching experience with at least 25 clients following the start of your coach-specific training. At least 50 of these hours must occur within the 24 months** before applying for the credential. Completion of the Coach Knowledge Assessment (CKA).
